About

Welcome to Starlit Sea!

My pen name is Gianna, and I am a Catholic young woman who loves to take pictures, draw, write stories, play piano and banjo, do crafts, and watch old movies.  I live down South, and I’m currently in college studying graphic communication.

I attend the Traditional Latin Mass at a small FSSP parish.  Some of my favorite saints are Maria Goretti, Blessed Karl of Austria, Joseph of Cupertino, Anne, and Dominic Savio.

I’m a bookworm with a severe case of abibliophobia (fear of running out of reading material 😀 ) and a big fan of Tolkien, Chesterton, and C. S. Lewis.  I enjoy writing short stories (there are links to my short stories at the end of this post) and hope to one day write my own novel.  I also love all things WWII, which is usually the era I write of.

I love to watch movies, but I usually stick to the oldies but goodies.  Most modern movies are impure and inappropriate, so I write reviews about decent movies I’ve watched.

This blog is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Our Lady, Star of the Sea, pray for us!

Farewell for now!

May you always be blessed
With walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain,
A warm cup of tea by the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire.
– An Irish blessing
